December 11, 1871
Sponsored by the Woman Suffrage Bazaar Association (Julia Ward Howe, president), the 10-day event includes entertainment as well as the sale of books, clothing, “confections,” stationery, and other items. Suffrage organizations from other Massachusetts towns maintain tables with informational brochures. The event raises nearly $9,000 dollars.
